Terms & Conditions
Important - The following contract terms and conditions (‘the terms’) must be read before placing an order for books (‘the goods’) as the terms and conditions will be incorporated into the contract between you (the customer) and us (Snake River Press Limited).
Contract
The order you send us is an offer to purchase the goods and that offer is only accepted by Snake River Press, and thereby a binding contract made, when Snake River Press sends you an email confirming/accepting your order. These terms and conditions are incorporated into all contracts.
Pricing
The price payable by the customer is as listed on Snake River Press's website at the time of the placing of the order. On receipt of an order, Snake River Press will calculate the cost of postage and packing to the address specified and will notify the customer of the additional costs. Snake River Press will not accept the order and/or dispatch the goods until payment of this additional sum is made. Books are zero-rated so VAT is not applicable. Any customs, excise or other levies imposed by authorities in respect of delivery outside the UK (or requests for information by authorities) are the responsibility of the customer.
Payment
Payment must be received in full for all goods ordered, including any additional charges, before the goods can be dispatched to the customer.
Discharge of liability to supply the goods, the passing of Title, and dispatch
Title to the goods will pass to the customer when the goods are delivered by Snake River Press to the carrier or Royal Mail with an instruction to deliver the goods to the address given with the order. Snake River Press will only deliver to the carrier or Royal Mail goods that are of a merchantable quality and comply with the contract terms. On delivery of the goods to the carrier or Royal Mail in accordance with this condition Snake River Press shall be deemed to have delivered the goods under the terms of the contract.
Liability
Snake River Press shall not be liable for any loss of profits, inconvenience, consequential or indirect loss or damage or have any liability to pay compensation other than any provable financial losses reasonably and foreseeably incurred by a customer who has complied with these terms.
Force Majeure
Snake River Press shall not be liable for failure to comply with the terms of the contract caused by circumstances beyond its control.
Purpose for which goods are sold
Snake River Press’s books and products are produced and sold for adult readers for the activity of 'being entertained by the act of reading' and not as a travelogue, travel guide, visitors handbook or guide or tourist information. Although the Snake River Press authors are careful to ensure that information included in the product is accurate at the time of the writing of the text or production of the image no warranties or assurances are offered that such information remains accurate thereafter as such information will, without doubt, change. Customers wishing to use the product for purposes other than as 'reading entertainment' as described above, for example to visit any of the sites mentioned in the products, must, beforehand, check and recheck the information as to the current accuracy of it if it is their intention to rely on such information.
Goods are sold for the personal use of the customer only. The customer must not re-sell the product, loan or license the product under any commercial contract.
Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part is deemed invalid or unenforceable the validity and enforceability of all other parts shall not be affected. These terms and conditions do not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
